The Royal Crescent Hotel is a luxury, grade 1-listed property, which sits right in the middle of the world’s finest Georgian crescent: one of the great set-piece masterpieces of European architecture.
The Queen or Double-bedded standard (or ‘classic’) guestrooms have eighteenth century interiors with modern facilities and are situated mostly to the rear of the property. Most are located in the coach houses with views overlooking the city of Bath. In every room you will find complimentary bottles of water, business and leisure magazines, a selection of books, TV and DVD player and hairdryer. The hotel also uses Egyptian cotton sheets and eiderdown pillows for maximum comfort. Other amenities include dressing gowns, slippers and products from hotel’s own Numbers Range, developed exclusively by a local apothecary using ingredients from sustainable and organic resources.
Light and airy, with silk curtains and a mink and olive colour scheme, the Dower House restaurant serves gourmet cuisine for a contemporary British menu that draws on influences from both the Mediterranean and the Far East. The menu also changes with the seasons to match the climate and to make best use of the very finest fresh ingredients. The cellar complements the menus and provides ample choice for both the casual diner and the true connoisseur of fine wines.
The hotel’s contemporary-style Spa was created from a converted coach house and stables. Here, guests can enjoy the wonderful relaxation pool (heated to 35 degrees centigrade), as well as cool and tepid plunge tubs, sauna and steam Karahafus and a fully equipped gymnasium.
The hotel’s other great glory is its beautiful and secluded 'secret' garden, which is perfect for a sumptuous afternoon tea or a pre-dinner drink on a warm evening, when nightlights illuminate its winding pathways.
